personal reflection on the media culture class

I think wee need something diffrent that happen in the class. Like a game or something about culture but interesting. It is very boring if the lecturers just talking and the student only listen to them.

Media tereotype for me is an something that make an information to quickly understand by audience. Sometimes they related it with ethnic, race, gender, occupation or social class

This thing can be a serious thing because they related it with a few things that little bit taboo. For example like race.

I think we can see it in old cartoon like in the example. It's very funny but when i'm understand it now, i think its a serious thing..

Do you often take what is on the Internet as truth without thinking much about it? If yes, why? If no, why? Discuss this in your own words.

Critical Reflection:

We can see form the picture a family talking about a news. The Father never trust the internet but his son really believe that every news in internet which inside the official site is the truth. The last box we can see that a child told to his mom that he made a news in official site.

For me not just internet, even newspaper or TV news sometimes never approved their validity to people. We have to re- check about everything about something that we felt strange or unsual. Me as university student also using internet very often. I also check about the truth of one topic. Sometimes i also found that there is a lie inside the internet because everyone can posting everything as they want.

I think it's still the same as ussual MLC class, i mean by the type off the subject but for the lecturer session is lil bit diffrent because two lecturers have their own part when the class running.

This is my weekly assignment for MLC0013 (Media Culture)

Based on the video, i want to discuss about it.

I think because of the social media, people can do that they want as they have idea and media that support their idea. From the video, we can see that people could make their own ice cream product because of the ice cream maker propaganda. The ice cream maker came into the Scoopvile and introduce to the people that they can produce their own ice cream with their idea.

Nowadays, social media already reach all of the people. They can reach us with the many form of media like blogs, podcast, and media sharing. So people just put some information to it and the one of the media form will spread it all over the world..
